"This fitout is all about dynamic connection through circular design – circles are incorporated through the fitout from the flooring, walls, curved feature walls – this is to enable the space to be about connecting together," says designer, Robyn Hawke.

The office environment is meant to foster connection and allow people to interact in an organic manner. There are a lot of people in the space with over 100 workstations, but everyone should still feel comfortable in the space and be able to exist within it.

The goal of the fitout was to showcase the economic value of a design that fosters collaboration - one that over time builds a sense of culture and reduces employee turn-over. The benefits of this aren’t tangible but are evident over time.

The Portal meeting pods were chosen because they aid the concept of dynamic connection and allow a meeting space or workspace to be formed without walls. And, of course, there's also the reference to organic circularity.

Portal cocoons its inhabitants, providing both visual, audio and psychological privacy. It's the type of space made for great ideas and valuable work moments.

There is no question, personal space and division have been major themes the past couple of years. However, as we return to the workplace to perform the activities which are unachievable from home, there is an increased demand for flexibility and for places to meet face-to-face.
